When comparing the GuitarHeads Z-Buckers to the Dragonfire Screamers, the Z-Buckers's bridge isn't quite as hot, and the neck is a little hotter. WebJan 25, 2024 · 1.) I wound up replacing the tone knob with a bass contour to tame the low end and that helped a lot. The Screamers became a lot more responsive and less woofy. I guess because the amp (Blues Jr.) didn't have to deal with all the bass frequencies after that, the pickups seem to overdrive slightly less, and aren't quite as noisy.

I have multiple sets of Texas blues that I've bought, and a set of their vintage styles that I just installed in a strat yesterday. Ironically have this guitar in my hands right now. This is it: my Blackmore trib. these pickups sound really good too. My Clapton Blackie tribute has the Texas blues.
