The serial hit the silver screen three years later with Buster Crabbe and Jean Rogers as the leading players. The popularity of Raymond's Flash Gordon Sunday strip meant a daily strip was also introduced. This strip was drawn by Austin Briggs and ran from 1941 to 1944.
